Coordinating multiple contractors often leads to delays, miscommunication, and budget surprises. With Electrex as your turnkey partner, you get a single point of contact to manage your entire project—from planning and permitting to installation and final inspection.
Whether you’re upgrading existing systems or launching a new build, we bring every element together under one experienced team—so you can move faster, stay on budget, and build with confidence.
Turnkey electrical projects require coordination that most contractors cannot offer. Electrex has been executing full-scope projects across Metro Detroit for over 65 years, managing everything from initial load planning and permit applications to final inspection sign-off. Our team includes licensed project engineers, field supervisors, and skilled electricians who work as one accountable unit on your behalf.
We work with industrial manufacturers, commercial developers, and institutional clients on projects of all sizes, from facility-wide electrical overhauls to targeted system expansions. If your project requires electrical design, utility coordination, equipment integration, or a combination of all three, we have the experience to deliver it.
It means Electrex handles everything from start to finish. Project planning, electrical engineering and design, permitting, material procurement, installation, utility coordination, and final inspection. You have one team and one point of contact from day one through project closeout, with no handoffs between separate contractors.
We handle turnkey electrical for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects: new facility construction, manufacturing plant upgrades, power distribution overhauls, machinery and equipment integration, lighting and controls installation, process piping, and full electrical system expansions. If it involves electrical design, installation, and commissioning, we can manage the scope.
When you hire multiple subcontractors, each one is responsible only for their piece. Scheduling gaps, miscommunication, and scope disputes are common and they slow projects down. With Electrex as your turnkey partner, there is one contract, one schedule, and one team accountable for the outcome. Problems get resolved internally, not passed between vendors.
Yes. Permit procurement, utility coordination, and inspection scheduling are all part of our turnkey scope. We work directly with local municipalities, DTE Energy, and inspection departments to keep your project on track. This tends to be one of the biggest time-savers for clients managing these relationships on their own.
Yes. Facility expansions and equipment integrations are among our most common turnkey projects. We start with a load analysis and scope review, then design and install the electrical infrastructure needed to support new equipment or an expanded footprint. Process piping connections can be included as part of the scope as well.
Every Electrex turnkey project follows the same process: project scoping and site assessment, electrical design and engineering, permit applications and utility coordination, material procurement and scheduling, installation and field supervision, system testing and commissioning, and final inspection and closeout. We flag anything that could affect the timeline or budget before it becomes a problem, not after.
We are headquartered in Harrison Township and primarily serve Metro Detroit and Southeast Michigan. For larger turnkey projects, we travel throughout Michigan. Work outside our standard service area can be discussed on a project-by-project basis.
