Powering Industry Since 1957

Industrial Electrical Contracting Since 1957

In 1957, Lawrence C. Page, Sr. founded Electrex Company, Inc. He operated the business out of his Harrison Township home with a VW van and provided electrical services to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. His first industrial customer was Hercules Tool and Die in Warren, MI. Over 65 years later, Electrex still proudly services Hercules.

Growth within the Community

Less than a decade later, Lawrence Sr. had developed a loyal customer base and Electrex had outgrown the home. He constructed the first Electrex commercial building in the same township where the company was founded. Growth would demand three more ‘moves’, all in the same township and all in the same Industrial Corridor.

Growth within Family

In 1967, at age 16, Lawrence C. Page, Jr. began working at Electrex after school. He learned the business and electrical trade, hands on, over the next 26 years.

In 1993, Lawrence C. Page, Jr. bought the business from his father and is operating the business to this day. Lawrence C. Page, Sr. stayed on as a consultant until his passing in October 2008.

About Us

Innovation and Further Growth

Requests from customers for safer and more reliable press controls offered Electrex the opportunity for even more growth. In 1988 Electrex formed a control and industrial automation company named Rexcon, a combination of ElectREX and CONtrols. Rexcon’s dedication to safer and more reliable products encompassed: PLC press controls, tonnage monitors, brake monitors, die protection, downtime monitoring, and an ergonomic Palm Button, which the company designed, manufactures, and installs. As Rexcon grew nationally, so did products, services, innovative systems, and capabilities.

In 1998 we acted again on our customer’s inputs and needs. Increased demands for services such as structural fabrication, process piping, utility piping, hydraulic piping, water piping and compressed air systems offered us another opportunity to better serve our customers. Electrex created a mechanical division transforming us into a turnkey provider for many industrial services.
